Anthropic describes Sonnet 5 as its most agentic Sonnet model yet, with substantial improvements over Sonnet 4.6 in reasoning, coding, knowledge work, and following a task through to completion.
Built to finish multi-step work
Sonnet 5 can plan, use tools, and sustain a sequence of actions instead of stopping after the first plausible response. Its one-million-token context window and outputs up to 128,000 tokens support work that carries substantial source material and intermediate results.
In Enjamb, that operating point is a strong fit for recurring research, evidence triage, analysis preparation, document assembly, and other workflows where follow-through matters but the highest-cost model is not required.
